Salary matches in APS between different departments - will they move me up an increment?

Currently an APS6.2 and planning to make a lateral move to another department. The equivalent APS6.2 salary at the new agency is around $2.5k lower than my current salary.

What's the best way to raise salary matching during the recruitment process? Is it common for agencies to match your existing salary, or would they typically place you at a higher increment (e.g. APS6.3) so that you don't take a pay cut?

Defence Delivery Agency - DDA culture

Can anyone provide insight working at GWEO/CASG/NSSG, soon to become DDA? I've seen some comments about cultural issues but would there also be more job opportunities for someone early in their career due to that?

Worth moving to a larger department? DoD

APS6 and currently work at a small agency <150 people and was recently offered a role to join department of defense at level. Is there more career advancement opportunities and is it worth joining DoD for when im fairly comfortable in my current fully WFH role.

I work in a team of two (aps6,el1) and have a sizeable workload essentially doing what would usually be 2-3 job descriptions and just prioritising the main components of each job. This gives me plenty of examples for EL1 job applications but there wont be any internal promotions with such a small agency.

How to pair frame pro 2026 to s800d soundbar wirelessly

As per title. Mounted a 75 inch samsung frame pro 2026 model and a samsung s800d soundbar underneath

Added them both to smartthings app. Can connect tv to soundbar via bluetooth but why is there no wifi option? Im aware bluetooth doesnt allow for qsymphony and dolby atmos.

Do i need to do it via the wireless one connect box?

Would use of a full motion mount look really ugly?

Would a full-motion TV mount for a 65 inch TV on that feature wall above fireplace be really ugly and jut out a lot? Dining table is off on the side and ideally i'd like to be able to watch TV from there but partner thinks it'll look really ugly.

I've got an old hisense TV which is fairly chunky as well. If i choose to just have a standard TV mount, would a Samsung Frame TV be better suited for this space?

Weston creek liveability

Couple in 30's with a young child and dog looking at moving into Weston soon and keen to get to know the suburb better from locals.

What are the best things about living in Weston/Weston Creek that outsiders wouldn’t know? Does Cooleman Court get overcrowded? Any hidden gems, good cafes, walking spots, commute tips into the CBD, things to watch out for in terms of safety? Any great routes to walk the dog or does Oakley Hill nature reserve tick that box?

Would love to hear the good and bad from people who’ve lived there a while.
