Finally happened today

Barely a discussion because it was like a 5 minute interaction but my first customer today asked for a "decaf iced latte with a little bit of chocolate." We use toast as our POS, so they can see on their side what I'm ringing in for them. We have our syrups in one folder and chocolate is of course mocha. So I rang it in as Latte > Whole milk > Mocha, Light syrup > Iced. She's staring at the screen as I put it in (I don't really mind since if I get an order wrong it'd be a good catch) and I ask "can I get you anything else?" And she says, "no, but I wanted chocolate not mocha." I don't really know how to respond without sounding... rude? I replied "yeah! Chocolate is mocha." But I'm not sure if I came off rude. She just said, "oh okay! Sorry yeah I'm good!" How do you guys reply when someone asks for chocolate and not mocha?

Can't shower for the entire weekend

Hi all, I live in an apartment that frequently has had pipe issues over the years. Last week while I was showering, I got a text from my sister that said our downstairs neighbor came upstairs to check if we were showering because his bathroom was leaking. So on wednesday, our super came to see what the issue was and moved our cleaning supplies from under the sink. He left and told us we couldn't move anything back until he finished. He came back on Friday and just shut our water off, said the pipe was broken, and we can't use the shower or sink until Monday when he fixes it. Our toilet is fine. It's not ruining my life or anything but it is mildly annoying since showering is my way to unwind because I just like feeling clean. There wasn't really much he said. I used a bucket to wash myself and poured the water into the toilet and flushed it because I wasn't sure if we could pour water into the bathtub or sink. Not super efficient. Has anyone dealt with this?

I've been a barista for a year and a half now, and I'm lucky enough to work at a cafe that doesn't care if you sit during slow season. But our cafe is located near a very very busy tourist area, so during nice weather or holidays of course it's gonna get super duper busy. I'm usually always on bar when I work. I have new balances I've been wearing that are fine, but my feet still hurt, so I don't know what could help. Does anyone wear compression socks and do they help as well? What shoes do you guys wear that make you guys feel fine after a busy shift?

I was told that changing your lightbulbs to LEDS in your apartment uses less electricity, therefore lowering your electric bill. I plan to move out next year and was wondering if anyone in this sub has done it and seen an actual difference in their electric bill? I live in new york city if that helps. I have new led light bulbs that I bought when they were on sale last year and will consider bringing them to my new apartment if it's actually true.

Hi reddit, this is my first post in this sub & I was wondering for people who live on their own and didn't take anything with them regarding furniture, how did you finance for a mattress? I plan to move out next year (and also use this subreddit more lol) and didn't realize how expensive mattresses can be. I'm fine with having a spending limit of like $250? Are there any mattresses that you can find that are cheap and also worth the money? Thanks in advance!
