We’re trying to decide if we should visit our freshman on parents weekend at the end of September, taking in all the activities and a football game, or visit the following weekend and see a game.

Any experience on this?

Are the scheduled activities on parents weekend worth it for the outrageous hotel prices? Or should we make our own weekend/game out of it the following weekend?

Central Arkansas is the first game and Virginia is the next one.

And it’s not as if the hotel prices for the Virginia game are reasonable either, just less than parents weekend.

I have a prospective tenant that was referred to my by a current tenant, who is terrific.

The credit check has no red flags at all. The income they report is a little too low but they are claiming monthly income from a family trust.

How would you confirm this?

They offered to pay six months up front and they would prefer a 2 year lease (which works for me). And as I have noted, it is a referral from someone who I have had a good relationship with. They (prospective tenant) are in the arts and have been for some time from what I can see. It seems like the family has some means and is supporting them.
