Just when I thought I had almost gotten over it, I saw my ex-girlfriend in my dream tonight. She was angry with me and didn’t want to see me, but we talked, and I held her arm. From that moment, everything started to soften and her anger began to fade. You know that feeling after you’ve had a fight with someone and the issue is mostly resolved, the ice starts to melt, but there’s still a little tension left? It was like that. But that part isn’t important.
I don’t know why I had a dream like that so randomly, out of nowhere. My heart felt lighter, and I was overcome with a strange feeling in the middle of the night. I woke up, and in my half-asleep state, I prayed to God that just as He had placed her back into my heart and mind, He would place me into her heart and mind too, with the same sense of longing. Then I went back to sleep.
It was a strange experience, and by the time morning came, it felt a little less strange.
