Hi guys! I'm in the process of dyeing this cotton dress from coral/pink to purple.
After the first dye bath with purple, these blotches appeared on the back. I mixed the dye really well and kept the fabric moving constantly the whole time, so I'm not sure what caused them.
The dress is 100% cotton.
My next planned step was to dye with blue to deepen the purple, but now I'm worried these spots will stay or get worse.
Does this look like residue blocking dye, bleach damage, or something else?
What's the best way to fix this before doing another dye bath? Thanks!!
