Stop 1 Stop 2 Stop 3 THIS SCRIPT HERE-approximately 3000 words (to be continued)

Just like last time, I want to make it very clear that I do NOT support violence. The speaker character is not someone whose behavior you should emulate. Please protest peacefully.

For lack of a better term, this part was meant to be the "shit just got real" moment. I actually had a really tough time finding the balance between our speaker's normally cartoonish level of violence with the actual gravity of the actions they're committing. But in the end, I think I found a great mix and a natural transition. For one, putting the flashback at the beginning of this part helps frame the scene better. Not only is the tension of it not interrupted, but you know going in exactly what the speaker is preparing to do and to what lengths they're willing to go to do it.

I also had to go all-in on the sleezeball politician characteristics here. As much as I wish I could say this is just as exaggerated as everything else....reality is stranger than fiction. I'll leave it at that. But this is a character you're supposed to  hate. This again helps frame the speaker's actions as understandable, even though it's not right. Violence is bad. This has been your PSA. But on the topic of the politician, I specifically gendered him as male. Normally I leave character genders ambiguous unless it 100% effects the plot of the story, but here I felt the male gendering was necessary. After all, I have a hunch that "the president" wouldn't take kindly to a woman in power or respect a non-binary person's pronouns. But of course, my scripts are always open to gender swapping.

PS: While working on the next part in the background, I realized I had used the wrong term in the initial draft for this script. While I normally don't like to go back and edit existing stories after I upload them online (it feels too much like "rewriting history" for my tastes), I decided to update the term anyway. Since this post deals with contemporary political allegory, I wanted to make my words very clear so people don't get the wrong message. But for clarity's sake, I'll inform you that I replaced the word "shareholders" with "lobbyists." That's the only edit I made to the script post early-access.

While there's quite a bit of comfort and reassurance out there for people who feel they're too short, I don't notice nearly the same amount of support for people who think they're too tall. Granted, this is because society largely considers height to be a good thing, so there are unfair expectations regardless of how tall you are. But this script started from the idea of creating a comforting audio for people who are insecure about being tall. As a trans woman who's nearly 6 feet in height, I've definitely felt this on occasion:  Especially early on in my transition. Women are expected to be shorter than the men around them, which can be a source of insecurity for many. This is why I created multiple gendered versions of the script: Because society weirdly ties gender and height together, and that requires more specialized words of comfort.

The D/S dynamic came from the first thing I thought of for this script: The line about how the listener can't hide their blushing face from up there. I thought that was a cute thing to say and the mix of flirtation and confidence in it is where the dominant part of the speaker character came from. While I'm not a part of such communities myself, it's no secret that this dynamic is  very popular in the ASMR space. So I learned quite a bit through cultural osmosis. And while this script is far more..."aggressive" (for lack of a better term) in this dynamic than any previous ones I've done, I think it added a lot. In these dynamics, subs are usually pictured as being shorter, skinnier, and softer than their partner. That right there added an additional layer to the listener's insecurity regardless of their gender. So while this is a bit out of my normal wheelhouse, I'm really glad I did it. This part was actually super fun to write. Well, all the parts were super fun to write. But this one in particular had a few major moments that really tickled me in a good way. We finally get to see how our chaotic gremlin behaves out in the wasteland, we get to see the listener being more in control, we see our first zombie, we get a super important flashback moment, and that ending scene. I feel like the ending scene perfectly encapsulates the speaker in just one tiny moment. It showcases their good intentions that are  horribly misguided in execution. Because remember, the speaker character's behavior should NOT be emulated. If you can't tell, I feel the need to emphasize this repeatedly in today's political climate.

As you may have noticed with the humming in the last part, the song choices I'm adding are very intentional in their messaging. They're all punk or punky protest songs that, in some way, relate to the situations our characters are in and the real life circumstances that inspired them. As a way to cope with everything happening in the world today, I've started making a personal playlist of protest songs that I listen to whenever the world around me feels like too much. I think songs, in a similar way to stories like this, can help reframe these petrifying real-life situations in ways that help us feel powerful enough to do something about them. SCRIPT HERE-approximately 1550 words

Fake dating is one of those tropes that I've never been super invested in, but I 100% understand the appeal. The drama, the angst, the "Oh no I love you but this is supposed to be fake," I see why it has fans. When I sat down to write this script, I initially planned on playing it fairly straight by making it a budding romance. But as I got to writing, the speaker just didn't strike me as the type of person who actually wanted a romantic relationship. So, I pivoted. And while the fake dating is still there, this script flows a bit more towards the platonic side of love rather than the romantic side. But it also has a lot of silly moments, so I hope those of you who prefer a more straightforward version of this trope can still enjoy that. And the speaker was  so fun to write. Their natural curiosity combined with their naivete and social obliviousness was a super fun combo that I had a great time toying with. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy!

Stop 1 THIS SCRIPT HERE-approximately 2050 words (to be continued)

Just like last time, I want to make it very clear that I do NOT support violence. The speaker character is not someone whose behavior you should emulate. Please protest peacefully.

Part 2 is here! And like most part 2s in longer series, this is meant to fully establish the main plot and objective of the story. And of course, it's our titular zombie road trip! I really wanted to get that cross-country trip feeling with this series, which is why I'm calling each part a "Stop" instead of a part. Also, the subtitles for each stop are named after a type of road. The first subtitle (Collision Court) was a pun on "collision course," refers to a court (another name for a cul-de-sac), and references how our two characters enter a pretty dramatic collision with one another. This part's subtitle (Merger Lane) is obviously a pun how you can merge lanes in traffic as well as the paths of our main characters merging into one. I'm pretty proud of these, especially with how much I struggle with titles at times.

You can also tell that the political commentary is ramping up here even from the already political first part. And yes, that will only continue. This series is partially written as a vent for how things have changed since the "zombie virus" and "the president," and how we're all trying to pick up the pieces and cope with it all. Obviously, the speaker is coping very poorly. I would again like to remind you that I do NOT support violence. I have to make that very clear. But yes, this series was partially conceived as political commentary and it will continue to be that way. The story just wouldn't work without these parallels. I do hope you're looking forward to the next installment, because that's when we finally get the road trip on the...well, road! Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy!

SCRIPT HERE- approximately 3000 words

It's been a while since I've written any fandom scripts, huh? Well, after starting my Ao3, most of my ideas for fan works have gone there. But I still believe ASMR roleplays are the preferred medium to express some of my ideas, and this is one of them.

Super Mario Galaxy is easily in my top 10 favorite video games of all time, and Rosalina is my favorite character from that game. In fact, she's my favorite Mario character and one of my favorite fictional characters period. So when the Super Mario Galaxy Movie was announced with Rosalina in a major role, I was super excited! And when I finally got to watch it...I was left disappointed. I've absolutely seen worse movies in my day, but this was easily the most disappointing movie I've ever watched. When Rosalina actually got screentime, she was great! But that's the thing: When she got screentime. She was only present for around 10 minutes and only played an active role in about half that time. I have more problems with the movie, but I'll stop before this turns into a review.

The one good thing the movie did was get me thinking about Rosalina again and why I love her so much. I won't go into it here for the sake of saving you a ramble, but needless to say it made me want to explore the character more. So, this script is basically a love letter to her. It encapsulates all my favorite things about her in a way that just makes me feel at home. Self-indulgent? Yes. But I know I'm not the only one who feels this way. This star mama and guardian of the cosmos has fans for a reason. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy!
