So after posting a few days ago I kind of settled on the AT-VM95ML which appears to pair well with setup, from what I've read on google and here anyway. I almost pulled the trigger and then curiosity got the better of me. The AT-VMN740xML isn't that much more expensive but is a better cart.

I'm very new to this so learning as I research and read comments to my previous post. Is the more expensive and superior AT-VMN740xML going to be too high capitance for my kit?

I'm looking to upgrade from my Ortofon 2m Red supplied with my Debut Carbon Esprit SB TT and with my limited knowledge I like what I've read from various people about the AT-VM95ML. Though from what I understand I'll need to change the counterweight which appears to be readily available, so that's no issue. Though again, from what I understand, the VTA can't be altered so I have to get a cart that is similar height.

I guess my question is, what are my options around £200? As this is my first cartridge upgrade I feel a bit overwhelmed but happy to attempt, what tools do I need and any tips for removing the wires which I've heard are quite fiddly?
