Grown adults told me Mamdani would institute Sharia law when he became mayor of New York. All he's doing is showing that politicians aren't powerless to work for their constituents.

>"As someone who lives near a Best Buy, I'm at Best Buy often," Newsom told reporters during a news conference. "And I'm paying sales tax on a lot of this prewritten software. And then I find out that all my friends that aren't near a Best Buy, they're downloading and they are not paying sales tax. How is that fair?"
If this is the best Democrats have to offer, we're screwed. Also, don't lie reflexively, that's a Trump thing. You don't go to Best Buy and purchase boxed software often. They barely sell any, mostly just Windows.
China is dominating the energy transition with astonishing result, while fossil fuel fascists in the US try to turn back the clock
>The Colorado River is dying in public, and the numbers no longer require interpretation. Lake Powell — the nation’s second-largest reservoir, the linchpin of water and power for 40 million people across seven states — is forecast to receive 13% of normal spring runoff this year. That is the lowest inflow projection in the reservoir’s 63-year history. Since October 1, only 408,000 acre-feet of water has entered Powell. The full-year forecast is approximately 800,000 acre-feet — against a reservoir designed to hold 24.3 million. The water simply is not coming.
People used to speak about him with a sense of inevitability. I haven't heard his name as much lately, and Democrats are showing willingness to consider other candidates as possible. I feel like the change happened right after he said "Israel is an apartheid state."
There's always one.
>Rather than treating it like a niche issue, candidates should offer concrete policies that assume global warming is the context in which all politics happens.
We're already there.
>Concerns over water access are poised to consume summer in the US, as crises in Corpus Christi and across the Colorado River threaten to boil over.
>Buoyed by billions in assistance from the state, real talk about what it takes to run New York City, and some taxes on the rich, the mayor closed a historic leftover budget deficit.
It's such a relief to see a Democrat who's working for his constituents instead of saying "I'm powerless" to them while collecting donor money. We need more of this and less of the old guard.
