I asked for extra cilantro and they did not disappoint
It was everything I hoped

It was everything I hoped
7.5/10. These were on clearance for like $1.40 at Wally World so I took a chance.
Tasted good, though pretty stingy on the cheese and beef inside. The middle two or three bites with the most stuff were great. They’re designed to fit in a toaster so I guess they have to be kind of skinny. I used the air fryer instructions and would recommend the shorter end of the suggested cooking times.
For $1.40, I’d definitely recommend, and will probably buy a couple more if they’re not all gone next time I stop by. If I’d paid full price (which I think was around $4), I’d probably be mildly disappointed
I missed my carnitas fries so much! They’re as good as always.
Also gave the carnitas big fat taco a try. I wasn’t crazy about it for some reason. I like the other big fat tacos and I love the carnitas, but something about the combination wasn’t working for me. Feel like I might have liked it more if I’d removed the lettuce and added onions and cilantro maybe
Being slightly generous with the 7/10 flair, I feel like 6.5ish/10 is maybe more accurate. By component I’d give the steak a 7/10, the gravy 9/10, and the mashed potatoes 5/10, with a visual appeal score of 2/10.
Steak tasted better than expected but nothing mind blowing. Gravy was actually totally solid, decent texture and very nice peppery taste. Mashed potatoes on their own were disappointingly gummy and flavorless, though much better when taken in one bite with some gravy and steak.
Everything looks identical when you first open the package, just a blanket of light beige. It took poking around for a second to figure out what was mashed potato and what was gravy.
I wish this was one of the packages with everything split up into different trays. Big potential if the steak could have been pulled out and popped into the air fryer for a couple minutes to get crispy. But as it is, it’s not bad at all if you close your eyes.
I’ll probably buy again at some point, but not immediately
Stouffers Mac and Cheese topped with Jack Daniel’s Pulled Pork. Plus some extra cheese (sharp cheddar and a tiny bit of Parmesan), green onions, Kinders Roasted Garlic BBQ sauce, and a little drizzle of ranch.
I was trying to replicate, in a lazy and cheap way, a dish from a local BBQ place that closed down last year. Was it as good as the original? No way, but still a 10/10 in the frozen dinner world and managed to scratch the itch.
By themselves I’d give both the mac and the pulled pork probably 7.5/10 each, they definitely combine to be better than either alone (and a little bit of freshness from the green onion helps)
I saw a couple posts here about bettergoods stuff being good, so I took a rare trip into the grocery section of my local Walmart and this caught my eye.
I had moderately high hopes and it genuinely exceeded them. Really nice balanced set of flavors. Not stingy with the mushrooms. The right amount of cheese. Roasted garlic flavor comes through strongly (in a good way, not overpowering). Truffle flavor is mild but definitely there. House smelled great while it was cooking, fresh baked bread kind of scent.
10/10, will definitely be buying again. There’s a Trader Joe’s truffle pizza/flatbread thing I like a lot, but I think this is going to be taking its place in my rotation.
Took a minute or two longer than recommended to cook
