I rang my boss about changing my shifts. We discussed what would work for me. They said to email them. My question is how does the AI overview include information we only verbally discussed. And when I clicked it a second time the ai overview changed but still had info only discussed verbally? Definitely creeping me out!!!
God I’ve been running into some weird people lately. I’m not sure if I’m more aware but just some people have been acting very strangely. Recently my wife and daughter went to Sydney for a few nights. This is part of her review to the serviced apartments they stayed in.
Now, onto our final evening, which felt less like a relaxing holiday wind-down and more like an episode of a very niche reality TV series.
Two individuals entered the leisure area and proceeded directly into the sauna fully clothed, wearing shoes and carrying what can only be described as airport-sized luggage.
My daughter noticed it first.
Initially, I assumed they had wandered into the wrong room, mistaken the sauna for the gym entrance, or perhaps believed it was some sort of very warm change room.
After waiting some time for the inevitable “Oops, wrong room” moment that never came, I eventually entered the sauna myself- I wanted to use it.
One individual promptly departed with the luggage. The other remained stretched across the upper bench, phone in hand, continuing their sauna-adjacent activities until eventually leaving. I can only assume the temperature became incompatible with there attire. Perhaps I unintentionally hot-boxed them out simply by using the sauna for its intended purpose.
The plot thickened when I later noticed both individuals in the gym, once again not appearing to use the facilities for their intended purpose.
Then, while enjoying one final spa session, we observed the luggage-carrying individual helping themselves to multiple items from a cleaner’s trolley while waiting for the lift.
By this point, I felt less like a guest at a leisure facility and more like an extra in a mystery series.
Look, we’ve all had moments where we’re glued to our phones. But these guests appeared to have theirs permanently superglued to their faces and hand while undertaking this increasingly bizarre behaviour.

Finally, after a lot of hard work, I’ve been accepted for my dream job!
As part of the pre-employment requirements, I need to undergo a drug screening.
I currently take prescribed dexamfetamine sulfate 5mg (this IS the med for me).
I completed a home drug test today and, unsurprisingly, it returned a positive result for amphetamines.
My question is:
For those who have been in a similar situation, how did you approach this with your employer?
What documentation or evidence did you provide to demonstrate that the result was due to the medication?
I’d like to be as transparent and proactive as possible.
