My typically relaxed dog has become especially needy

I have a 6 year old miniature bernedoodle who has been aloof her whole life. She typically will lay in her favorite chair and not concern herself with whatever is going on in the house. She gets plenty of exercise and runs at the dog park, but doesn’t interact much with other dogs. Recently, however, she has become very needy around our house. She follows me around throughout the day and paws at my legs. I don’t mind the attention and spend time with her as much as I can, but I am worried about her distinct shift in personality this many years into her life. Is this normal or is it something I should be concerned with?

What is with condo HOAs in Chicago?

I’ve been looking at condos on Zillow and there are many nice buildings downtown. There are even 2 bedroom units for $300k or less. But almost all have monthly HOAs over $1,000. What in the world can the building offer that’s worth +$12k a year? A gym membership with an Olympic pool is $200.
For example, a 1 bedroom in the Marina Tower is under $300k, but has a $724 monthly HOA. The building has no pool and 900 units. That means that the HOA is collecting $650,000 every month. Are the buildings on the verge of falling over?

Trying to make it until the kids are in college

I’ve wanted a divorce for over a decade and I don’t think I can make it much longer. There are two things in life that make me happy: spending time with my daughters and going to the gym. My older daughter is in college and my younger daughter will be a junior in high school next year. My goal was to hold off on asking my wife for a divorce until my younger daughter left for college, but I don’t think I can make it. How many here have toughed it out until the kids are gone? Is it worth it? Any tricks to find pleasure in life while living with someone I don’t like?
