I need to replace the fuel pump and have the whole module from AC Delco minus the pump. But I can't seem to find a fuel pump anywhere. Everyone I find is plagued with horrible reviews.
Hoping for some collective wisdom. Our 94 LT1 climbs to around 260 on the gauge at idle, and the low coolant light comes on even with the tank full. Everything we’ve done so far: ran a chemical block test for combustion gases and it came back clean, so no head gasket. Coolant is full, and the temp gauge itself is accurate (it sits at 220 right as the fans kick on). Water pump is new. Both fans run and are actually moving air. We tested the old and new thermostats in boiling water and both opened fine, then gutted the thermostat entirely so there’s no restriction left, and it still overheats. Coolant appears to be flowing.
The radiator seems to have a good temperature gradient across it. It’s pressurizing well. It was bled properly. It doesn’t seem to have an air pocket. I’m out of ideas.
