3 Months/640 Hours later
Started on exactly April 1st and wanted to be caught up before Echoes of Aincrad released. Now here I am less than a week before my deadline. My thoughts kind of boil down to:
- Hollow Realization<Alicization Lycoris<Hollow Fragment<Fractured Daydream<Fatal Bullet<Lost Song<Last Recollection
- DLCs had good story for all the games which was nice
- Hollow Fragment (146 hrs) had a wonderful story and although the game is clunky and the grind is rough in it, i still ended feeling enjoyment and missing it later on.
- Lost Song (30 hrs) was good but pretty forgettable. It "Feels" like a side game the most. Story felt mostly inconsequential outside 2 characters being introduced. Somewhat janky flying controls but ive handled worse lol.
- Hollow Realization (111 hrs) had the best story and DLC by far. Almost everything was basically taken from Hollow Fragment but made so much better with QOL improvements and modernization.
- Fatal Bullet (60 hrs) had decent Combat but the Ally AI was so bad it was literally detrimental. Also the scaling of enemy health/dmg is laughably horrible, especially in the dlc.
- Alicization alycoris (113 hrs) had the best combat but the main games story was a sluggish (DLC Story made up for it however) little to no grinding since i did most of it throughout the story, which made thia much more of a fun platinum.
- FUCK Last Recollection (139 hrs), that game sucked so bad and I hated every second of it. Bloated HP values, ruined previous games combat, story as mostly boring except the final fight/cutscenes.
- Fractured Daydream (40 hrs) is somewhat boring and repetitive but the story and interactions + good gameplay made it not the worst.
Some extra fun little facts, I misjudged how long Last Recollection would take so I actually spent 100 hours on 7 other quick platinums thinking "I got time". Leading me to have to wake up at 5 am the last week or so to make sure I finished on time.
I think im ready to play Echoes of Aincrad now though at least lmfao
