Coming straight after reading umineko I'm not sure what approach to take here
Do I solve it as a mystery to try and find the usual whodunit whydunit and howdunit?
My perception on these has shifted a bit after umineko but considering it has question arcs and answer arcs similar to umineko
I'm not sure if I should take it as a story or a mystery
I really love Ryukishi07’s style of mystery. I especially love the thriller atmosphere in Higurashi and Umineko. For example, I loved the mystery in Higurashi Episode 1, and the strongest mystery / thriller / psychological horror experience I’ve ever had from Ryukishi07 was definitely Umineko Episode 2.
So I wanted to ask, without spoilers for the story itself: can Ciconia deliver a mystery experience similar to Umineko Episode 2?
And please don’t misunderstand me — I already know that Ciconia is not a murder mystery like Higurashi or Umineko. What I mean is: before I start the game, should I expect the same kind of thriller / psychological horror / mystery feeling that Umineko had? Or is that aspect much weaker in Ciconia?

What were some of the wildest theories in Higurashi, even before the answer arcs? The most interesting or outlandish ones people came up with back then.
I am getting a laptop this summer so that I can finally play Higurashi. I have seen gameplay of the first hour or so of chapter 1. I also know about oyoshiro’s curse, how it is a loop, how rika is trying to survive the summer, and that the photographer goes missing and shit. I know a lot of the story is what I’m trying to say. I also know how Keichi kills the girls and then the loop starts over. I feel like knowing these things might make the play through ruined, but I’m also not sure. Is it still worth a read after knowing all of these things?
I've only seen the remake anime to be clear.
shirakawa-go (the city hinamizawa is based on) is in fh6. Tho it doesnt look very faithful. isnt there supposed to be the furude shrine in the location i took the photo at? there wasnt anything like that, its just a normal mountain. unplayable.

Im using 07th mod and I don’t know if it’s supposed to sound like this, but it sounds like static sometimes the audio just sounds corrupted. Like a buffer problem in a DAW or something. Is this a known problem or is that just how this chapter’s audio sounds?
