Would love to find a stream, but seems we're doing well in our preseason friendlies. 3-0 on Sheffield Wednesday on the 11th and what hopefully ends as a promising result today.

The Omaha City Council voted 4–3 today to approve the proposed local minimum wage ordinance on its third and final reading.

Before the final vote, there was a motion to place the ordinance on file, but that motion failed. The Council then proceeded to a roll call vote on the ordinance itself, which passed 4–3.

The ordinance:

• Establishes a $15/hour local minimum wage.
• Provides annual cost-of-living adjustments tied to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) beginning in 2027.
• Prohibits retaliation against employees who exercise their rights under the ordinance.
• Creates enforcement and investigation procedures through the City's Human Rights & Relations Department.

The measure now goes to Mayor John Ewing. If signed, it is widely expected to face a legal challenge similar to the one the Nebraska Attorney General has already filed against Lincoln's nearly identical ordinance.
