Do better, Omaha.

This is just one example of what I saw driving around my area this morning. If you can't be a decent neighbor and clean up after yourselves, then don't bother celebrating next year.

For real though I think fireworks should be banned in city limits

Is it really worth it to ruin the air quality, trigger many people's PTSD, and scare house pets?

Some calm cuteness from a city park after last night's chaos.

FYI: If you’re still setting off loud fireworks, you’re not doing it to have fun, you’re doing it to be an asshole

Anybody know what happened to the kid that got hit while on an ATV?

Last I heard first responders were giving him CPR? Just wondering if he made it or not

Pause on fireworks… then blast them!

Hey Omaha… can you give us animal owners like 2-3 hours of no fireworks between 3-5 or 5-7 to allow us to take our dogs out for potty breaks. We understand “fuck yay America!” But the potty breaks takes like 15 mins the most. Go eat.. have relations… even stretch… just give us a bit to allow our animals to potty and get ready for the war sounding fireworks. Thank you! Happy fourth.

Dear Neighbor, What is the point of setting off 6 $15 artillery shells in the middle of the daylight?

If you wanted to waste some money you could have just given it to me

Found dog in Benson

A small female dog wandered into our yard off Blondo and N. 60th St. She has a pink harness. We brought her inside. Please respond if you know who she belongs to!

Eppley Capacity

I was thinking about the terminal expansion at Eppley and wondered what the outgoing/incoming flight capacity is based purely on the runways.

Are we at 60% runway capacity? 85%? 14%? How many flights do we have to add before we have no choice but to pave over the Missouri river entirely?

Continuous big BOOMS in the area?

It almost sounds as if someone has declared war on La Vista and that the city is currently madly returning fire with all the arsenal at their disposal!

Anyone else hearing that?

Also, what are these strange colorful lights all over the sky?

Humane Society

A nest fell out of the tree onto my lawn with three little fledglings in it. I have no idea how to care for them. Is there a Humane Society that will take them? I live in Elkhorn area.

Businesses, services, or amenities would make your life easier or more fun

I’m exploring ideas for a small business here in the Omaha metro and wanted to tap into the community’s perspective.

What types of businesses, services, or amenities would genuinely make your life easier or more fun?

What do you wish existed in Omaha but can never seem to find?

I’m open to anything...retail, entertainment, niche services, vending concepts, mobile businesses that come to you, neighborhood‑specific needs, or ideas you’ve seen in other cities that would fit well here.
