gts18dbpdrww ge fridge intermittently not cooling

This fridge is stumping me. Resident is calling about every other week that her fridge has stopped cooling. Of course, she never calls when it is actually not cooling. I'm starting to wonder at this point if ~~the resident is sabotaging it to get it a new fridge~~ it isn't just being left open. Freezer is often frozen over though. It was thawed out when I got called out on Saturday.

I'm not the landlord, just a maintenance guy out of his depth. I'm the third tech to look at this fridge. Management is hell bent on not replacing.

I've tested the defrost thermostat,

evap fan is fine,

heat tube thing tests fine,

area around freezer defrost drain is pretty messed up from someone obviously chipping ice at some point,

two small cracks are present in the freezer

Defrost timer tests fine and clicks smooth,

Switched out temp control,

Condensation fan is operating.

Black sludge under compressor, oil?

Compressor relay doesn't rattle.

What else can I check? Any ideas are appreciated.

39trans. Dominant right. Cut my hand the morning my abusive ex filed for an appeal for a protection order I filed on her. Will likely scar. Wondering the meaning.

I'm a maintenance tech for a slumlord. Ama.

There is not enough time in a day to make the repairs. Units have 2nd toilets that haven't worked in months, molding drywall, holes in drywall, burnt out light bulbs. The tenants are all poor. Very few options between this and a homeless shelter. There are units that due to continued lack of maintenance, and the lack of tenant upkeep (various causes understandably) are probably worse than a shelter. Stressed out families. Residents have either a) given up getting things fixed because techs never stick around or b) are fearful they'll be charged for the repair. It is depressing work. I consider finding a new management company, but know that their lives would probably suck harder.

Wondered if folks would want to know about this side of failing capitalism. Ask away.

Sleepovers

My daughter is 11 years old. Loves doing sleepovers and going to people's houses. I've allowed sleepovers with boys. That window will close as she ages (fairly soon) despite inkling of clues that she is maybe gay. The boys she hangs out with are boys that well.... hang out with her and her friends, don't care about sports. So not too concerned of funny business.

Recently found out that one of her bestfriends (a girl) identities as "lgbtq" (her words), and is dating a boy. These facts lead me to believe she is a bit more progressed than my daughter.

I'm kinda at a loss here.

Simplest solution would be to stop all sleepovers with everybody. I know these days many families steer clear of them all together. I tend to believe that sleepovers are primary childhood experiences though.

I don't know what to do. Her friends family, though extremely open minded, is the sort that wouldn't allow boy sleepovers. So... if folks cut off sleepovers with her because she likes girls that could be pretty alienating.

Relocating to new state

My kids mom left the state 4 years ago. No support. No contact w kids or any of her family/friends. She reached out to me last September, but nothing since. Our divorce is final. I have sole physical and l3gal custody. Decree says nothing about relocating. Prior parenting order that was signed before desertion said this:

NOTIFICATION OF PARENT’S RESIDENCE CHANGE: In the event

either parent plans to changes residence, that parent shall notify the other parent

of such change prior to the move in accordance with current Nebraska law. The

parents agree that a move of more than 30 miles from their current residence

would be considered a material change of circumstances.

  1. Can I move without court's approval?

  1. Can I move without attempting to notifying estranged parent?

Last day of school

Are there any other districts still in session passed Memorial Day? My kids are in Millard and they have school tomorrow. Wondering if MPS is the only one in the state.

Need to know how filing for protection order against exgf might affect custody.

My exwife received a protection order against me after she "kidnapped" my children leaving out of state, and I filed for divorce. Everything she put in the order she actually had done to me. Queer relationship if that matters. Protection order was eventually dropped. Within the year after during the middle of our divorce, she absconded from life to a few state away. Her family, nor our shared children heard from her til August last year. She asked to talk to our kids. I told her no and that she would need to go through court. Nothing since. She hasn't seen the kids for 4 years. Actually changed her full name on my youngest daughters birthday which I found odd.

Jump to now... I entered a relationship after she left. It was rushed and pretty reckless. I believe I ignored some red flags because they weren't as bad as my exwifes. I was so in love and it was supposed to be a dream come true. She works with kids and is passionate about childhood development. I thought I'd hit the lotto with this woman. It was mostly great til it wasn't. Just going to list the things I'd include in a protection order filing:

- threw chairs down stairwell while raging

- choked our dog while taking off collar while frustrated at me (audio recorded)

- couldn't be left alone with kids because she antagonized them into melt downs

- would physically restrain daughter by laying on her

- pulled at her foot and dropped her across laundry basket hurting her back, then towered over her with balled fists

- pulled her own daughters hair then sounded satisfied by it (audio recorded)

- poked me

- I have severe sleep apnea. She put her hands on my mouth twice in one night. Didn't seem accidental. I suspect she was trying to see if I'd wake or slip into unconsciousness.

I should've left immediately. I believed that I was being triggered, she pressed me that I was too soft, she has so much experience with kids that I excused so much of her behavior. I messed up. My kids deserved better.

We broke up in December. For various financial reasons it was hard to move out. I discreetly moved out a few weeks ago to family's, and our dog to kennel. Immediately I emailed her that she is abusive and to leave me alone.

She has emailed me several times since. I've repeated to leave us alone. She is now asking repeatedly to see my kids and attend their end of school year activities. I tell her that I consider any communication with me to be harassment, then she asks to take them to a Renaissance fair. It's very weird.

She is off their approved pick up lists, her phone and Facebook are blocked. She only has access to email me. I've received random anonymous phone calls. Our kids therapist is shared, I believe information may be being shared but that is a whole another can of worms.

If it wasn't for a fear of their mom coming back into the picture, I would've already filed for po.

But... I'm scared of their mom jumping back into the picture and using the situation against me.

How credible is this fear?

Is there anything I'm missing?

Should I file?
