[IL] FMLA for Paternity leave

Hello, my husband would like to use FMLA to take leave to bond with our 5 month olds. The HR at his company seems very incompetent and has asked him to fill out forms WH382 & WH380E. I believe this is incorrect.

Form WH382 looks like something only HR should complete and seems irrelevant for baby bonding, and WH380E is if he has a serious medical condition. From my understanding of DOL fact sheet 28Q, he does not need to complete any certifications.

So, is all he needs to do is send a email indicating he is going on leave and to bond with his kids? (And provide their birth certificates if necessary?)

Can someone please advise whether there any forms he will need to complete at all? Is there something about the process I am missing?

I want to attempt to sleep train my 4mo twins. Is this schedule okay?

Hi there. Like I said, I want to attempt to sleep train my 4 month old twins (19 weeks). They are going through a sleep regression and with their sleep cycles permanently changing, we thought it may be good to get them to learn how to sleep independently. We are considering the Ferber method or the chair method. Would love to hear success stories with 4 month olds!

Until last Saturday, we were feeding to sleep (or at least drowsy) and capping it off with rocking and patting them before transferring to their cribs.

Here is the daily schedule we are trying to adhere to:

DWT: 7:30am, however one twin wakes up a little earlier between 6:45-7am and her sister at 7:30am.
1.5/1.75/1.75/1.75/2.5
Naps are: 1hr, 45mins, 45mins, 30mins

Night time: bath-play-feed-read a book-attempt to put to sleep.

Would love your thoughts and what may need tweaking.
