What would you use to extend the distance between the trailer and pickup. Turning almost ends up hitting the box on the front frame

I have the unfortunate clicking noise coming from our true refrigerator compressor. Tried to turn on and then there will be a brief pause, a click and then a flash arc, and then it will repeat this every few seconds while plugged in. Arc flash seems to come from relay pin 10 (blue)- What could this be?
