Losing Friends

How to handle losing friends and family due to being an Officer? I recently spoke to my best friend about me joining, they said if I go through with it she'd hate me for the rest of our lives. I'm not an officer yet, I still have a while till I can join. However, I also dont know how to feel knowing my childhood dream is enough to ruin a friendship which I thought had more meaning to the pair of us than I thought.

I thought it wouldnt affect me if people hated me for it, but i hadn't anticipated my best friend being one of them. How do I get past it and talk to my friend about it?

Is Joining at 18 A Bad Idea?

I'm considering joining the police upon completion of my 2-Year college course (Level 3 Policing - which will result in me achieving an Extended Diploma), being an Officer or Detective has been a life long dream of mine since I was a young boy. However, i keep hearing stories of Officers quitting during their Probationary period or joining at a young age around 18-20 and then leaving shortly after joining.

I want the best possible career for me, however I'm unsure if joining at 18 is the best decision I can make. I like to think i have what it takes to push myself to continue even when it would be difficult to, however the turn over rate from what ive heard is quite high.

Is joining at 18 worth it or should I give it time then join?

Anonymous Reports/Tips

My friend is a victim to digital cyber sexual offences and wants to report it while remaining anonymous, is this possible? If so how?
