People jump on the plot and writing. Which I'll be honest it isn't as terrible as people make it out to be tho I will agree it WAS the start of the horrible writing of the 2010 games, BUT I don't think the plot and writing was all too terrible and it was honestly funny at times. IN MY OPINION, there's nothing wrong with a more basic Eggman plot without some giant overarching deep narrative (Tho I LOVE Sonic games with those narratives a ton). Yes, I did find the "copyright law" and "bucket-o-sushi" jokes unironically funny.

I also feel like people just tend to gloss over that the gameplay isn't that bad (this applies to both Wii and DS versions) as well. Sonic Colors as a whole, I'd argue is one of the most beautiful and visually stunning Sonic games of all time. It's bursting with activity and life throughout every location of the game with (one of) the best Sonic soundtracks of all time; the visuals and music is literally timeless like you can go back to this game and have a good time. However I will say it does have faults (mostly regarding to the Wii) that are important to me, the bosses are extremely easy, even on a first attempt and lack of Super Sonic fight. (Ima glaze DS version a bit) I love the bosses in the DS versions cuz unlike Wii, they actually feel unique from each other in both design and gameplay, rather than just the same boss with a few extra bells and whistles and a new get-up, and I also PERSONALLY prefer the OST of the DS version with a good chunk of the soundtrack cuz of percussion in replacement of the orchestra; it gives certain songs that extra kick which I adore. Which back to bosses: I love how DS version got a super sonic fight and Wii didn't, it gives some actual importance to the DS version rather than it being shrugged off as a non-canon version of Sonic Colors.

Lastly, the Wisps. I know MANY people hate the Wisps cuz they overshadowed the Chao, and I can understand that, but I kinda always preferred the Wisps cuz I always found their powers extremely interesting (not even just in Sonic Colors only but ALL wisps) and how creatively they're used throughout a level and the nuttiness u can pull off with them.

Edit: Alright then, mb for having faith and an appreciation for Sonic Colors then so mb.

Im mostly proud of Pal Percy himself, mainly the angle and his face.

Honestly I'm in MANY communities and Fandoms and most if not all of them are filled with infighting and misery but yet not Kirby oddly from what I've seen so far. It's kinda ironically unironic the game about a pink ball with a face is the one with an overall friendly and understanding community.

I swear it sucks making a specific avatar and one key piece you need to make the avatar perfectly come together just doesnt exist or is the wrong color, cuz mind you, cant change colors on accessories. Context I have this avatar with a fully black outline and such, yknow cartoony
I cannot find a good cartoony chef hat to save my damn, there's like cartoony everything except a chef hat, let alone in red which I actually need so i'm effectively ina rock and hard place here

I think it was great for pure fun and for the hell of it but in terms of actual use, it often was the least useful to me, hell every game I played and won, speed mode was never used. Stealth is the main used throughout, strength was good for the 1 2 combo after drill or throwing a survivor into a corner, speed was just there and honestly I would've used it more often if Leap was overall easier to maneuver and had more use cases, like the most I seen it used and actually working out is on the Forest Maps cuz of the open loops from above the ledge at the back of the map next to one of the doors

Just to clarify real quick, this isnt some call out post, just someone who's guilty of this expressing their opinion to a broad audience, if you will?

I'm unfortunately guilty of this; I should've presented Reaper as more akin to a retake of Slasher with my own spin and story that still has its ties to og slasher, hell he even just had the m3 slasher mask til I changed it a bit to be full on metal.
I do wanna say I feel like I know where it comes from I think it comes from the person's love for the character in question so they make something akin to it so their love for said character can live on whilst it being a creation they can call their own.

For a shining example of this for ruined Mimic in BBN, I dont think it's a TERRIBLE skin but easily the weakest skin in Mimic's arsenal which sucks cuz it easily has the best chase for Mimic which sucks even more knowing it was going to originally be the base chase theme for mimic.

A part of me would argue that Secret Programation would sound better with Ruined Mimic

For me it's CrazyBlox, it's honestly one of 1x's best skins and the chase theme is legit perfect

Evil Gemios in the anime has the exact same spin shape of Dark Wolf despite it the beyblade itself having the EVIL fusion wheel and Evil Befall getting it's own custom spin shape for the fusion wheel like c'mon.

Ik Evil Gemios is kinda just eh but dang. Ik it was probably just to cut corners given Dark Wolf and Evil Gemios have similar parts so it was just easier but ig bro
