Happy 250th America! 🇺🇸 I fired up the classic Tyco US-1 trucks for a special patriotic run (and a little Liberty Bell history).

Happy 4th of July, everyone! Since we are officially celebrating America's 250th birthday today, I wanted to do something a little different on the track.

​I put together a totally unique run with the old-school Tyco US-1 electric trucks to celebrate. I also included a pretty fascinating piece of history about the Liberty Bell in the video that you might not know.

​It’s always great getting these classic rigs back on the track. What was your favorite US-1 rig to run back in the day? Let me know what you think of the setup!

Who remembers being mesmerized by the Perpetual Motion Space Wheel at the mall?

That and the neon glow were peak 1980s decor. Whether it was in a Spencer’s window or a high-end gift shop, you couldn’t walk past without stopping to stare. Who else begged their parents for one of these for their bedroom?

Maybe people already do this, but I had this 40 year old Tyco motor and it occurred to me MAF cleaner which is safe on plastics and electronics would be perfect to clean the wound copper and it looks brand new, leaves no residue and evaporates rapidly.
