This post depicts my IDEAL version of the USL Pro/Rel structure, not what it'll actually look like. It is based off of the Prem, EFL pro/rel system (20, 24, 24) and has who I'd want to be in at the levels I'd want them in on day 1. Obviously, USL Prem will only have 12 to begin, but these are the teams I'd like to see if I had my way. They include Championship, League 1, League 2, and MLS NP. It also doesn't factor in the fact that some of these teams will not be teams by the start of that pro/rel system in 2028 or the stadium requirement (so assume waivers).
USL Premier League
USL Championship
USL League One
What is going on with USL attendance this year? I know it’ll pick up as the summer goes on, but nearly every team is posting a loss. I’m relatively new so if I’m overreacting someone let me know. I just want the league to be strong going into pro/rel.
Teams improving: Phoenix (3.5%), Lexington (12.9%), Tampa Bay (1.8%), Tulsa (29.9%), Las Vegas (6.8%)
Everyone else is declining.
Brooklyn and Jacksonville are averaging 2,002 and 2,076 respectively in their first seasons
