A major Aussie airport has been completely shut down, with all runways shut for at least tonight.

Western Australia’s busiest airport, which is used by state emergency services, has been completely shut down, after a lightning strike knocked out key taxi and runway lights.
Lighting cables, runway and taxi lights at Jandakot Airport, in Perth’s south, were damaged during a storm on Monday.

Sydney Airport near miss involving Jetstar and Qatar planes leaves crew member injured

The ABC understands a Jetstar plane has been involved in a near miss with a Qatar Airlines plane on the tarmac at Sydney Airport this morning.
A Jetstar cabin crew worker was injured and assessed by paramedics. No passengers were injured.
It is understood the Jetstar plane had to brake suddenly to avoid a collision about 7am.
The Gold Coast-bound flight was taxiing to the runway when the incident occurred.
