Uma Musume Pretty Derby

In the first season, animated by P.A. Works, the animation was decent, but the audio was quite poor, and the races didn't seem very exciting to watch or cheer for. In the second season, animated by Studio Kai, despite using 3D models that sometimes looked strange, it added more interesting camera shots and slow motion. In the third season, it improved the 3D models and added more distant and dynamic cameras. And in the spin-off, Cinderella Gray, animated by Cygames itself, it did a great job of incorporating the concept of zones and changing the background of the races to add drama (I didn't include the movies because I thought it was unfair to compare a TV series to them).

Senki Zesshou Symphogear

The animation in Symphogear became impressively more fluid compared to the first season following the departure of Studio Encourage Films

She managed to win the Takarazuka Kinen and the Arima Kinen—some of the longest races—simply by running as fast as possible; for context, horse girls are typically expected to wait for the right moment to accelerate, especially in longer races, yet she doesn't possess the kind of extraordinary stamina usually required to stay in the lead over long distances

He is a professional Street Fighter 6 player whose strategy involves using his entire Drive Gauge (a meter that enables powerful moves) at the start of the match to pressure the opponent, all while maintaining maximum health, likely because he has already dealt maximum damage to them.

When the royals made brief, prejudiced remarks about her (since she bore a striking resemblance to the Witch of Envy), he tried to intervene; he insulted the royals and declared himself a knight. Regulus stepped in, telling Subaru he was underestimating the standards required to become a knight, and challenged him to a duel—one in which Subaru took a severe beating (Re:Zero)

In the second race between Jungle Pocket and Agnes Tachyon, Jungle Pocket was underestimating everyone and boasting that she would beat them all—until Agnes Tachyon made a brief, inaudible remark that threw her off, causing her to late start (Uma Musume Beginning of a New Era)

McQueen wanted to finish the race quickly; while his tires were being changed, he didn't wait for the entire process to complete. This caused the tires to fail near the end of the race, resulting in a tie and necessitating a rematch to decide the competition's winner. Although he didn't lose, the tie could have been avoided had he simply waited for the tire change to finish (Cars)

Toph was captured by guards hired by her family to take her back to the royal palace; since she is an earthbender, they imprisoned her in a metal cell. However, being blind and able to detect subtle vibrations, she sensed tiny fragments of earth within the metal, which she managed to manipulate to escape her confinement (Avatar the Last Airbender)
