Oyun Geliştirme Ekipleri ve Yatırımlar Hk.

Herkese selamlar,

Have you ever tried building something that competes with a giant?

I've been in the gaming industry for about 15 years, and I've been using LinkedIn for almost as long. At first I thought building a huge network was the key. More CEOs, more founders, more connections... I honestly felt like I was doing something right. Then I realized that every time I actually needed someone, I already had to know who they were. If I don't know your name or your company, how am I supposed to find you? That frustration stuck with me for years until I finally decided to build something around it. The problem is... the moment I explain the idea, everyone says, "So you're competing with LinkedIn?" And every time I hear that, I think, "Well... shit."

I even asked two friends to join me as co-founders. Both of them got pretty intimidated by the size of the idea. They said they supported it, and I believe they meant it, but... I also felt like nobody really wanted to jump in.

And then there are the people who keep saying, "You can't beat LinkedIn."

The funny thing is... I'm not even trying to beat LinkedIn.

I don't wake up thinking about how to destroy a billion-dollar company.

I just want to build something that actually works. A place where people can genuinely find what they're looking for instead of spending hours jumping between Google, LinkedIn, Upwork, Fiverr, Reddit, ChatGPT... and who knows what else.

Maybe I'm being naive. Maybe this is way bigger than I think it is.

But I'd rather spend a few years trying than spend the rest of my life wondering, "What if I had actually built it?"

Anyway... I hope one day I'll come back to this subreddit and tell you how it all worked out. 🙂

Until then, take care everyone.

I got tired of LinkedIn, so I decided to build something different

Hey everyone,

I've been working in the gaming industry since 2010, and I've been using LinkedIn since 2011.

Back then, it actually felt exciting. I was meeting new people, growing my network, adding CEOs, founders, managers... The bigger my network got, the more I felt like I was doing something right. 😄

As the years went by, I realized something.

That huge network wasn't really helping me.

The biggest problem is that LinkedIn is identity-based. If I want to find someone, I already need to know who they are or which company they work for. If I don't know their name, how am I supposed to discover them?

At some point, I got so frustrated that I decided to build my own solution. (14 May 2026)

Yeah... on paper, it looks like I'm trying to compete with LinkedIn. 😄

But that's not really what I'm building.

Today, if you're looking for a business partner, a freelancer, a publisher, an investor, or a service provider, you end up jumping between Google, ChatGPT, Fiverr, Upwork, LinkedIn, and a dozen other places.

That's how UmayNow was born ^^

There won't be influencer content. There won't be motivational posts. There won't be AI-generated essays pretending to change your life. That's what works on LinkedIn because the platform rewards visibility.

I'm trying to build something that rewards discovery instead. The idea is simple: even if nobody knows your name, you should still be discoverable. Posts are organized by intent, things like Questions, Knowledge, Updates, Offers, and Needs so the feed is about actual opportunities instead of engagement.

We're still very early. There's a long way to go, but the first landing page is live.

If you're curious, you can check it out:

If you like the idea, I'd really appreciate it if you joined the waitlist.

I promise I won't spam your inbox with "We're excited to announce..." emails. 😄

And if we ever raise funding, I'll come back here and let you know.

Thanks for reading.
