(Rant) WG your pricing policy makes me want to quit your game
NowI’m actually done. Wargaming has for me officially flown past "greedy" and entered a whole new dimension of pure corporate delusion.
We all knew the "Hunt for Bismarck" anniversary event was coming. We knew they were cooking up Bismarck '41 with manual secondaries and a speed boost. As a massive history nerd and a long-time German BB main, I was genuinely excited. Part of me feared they would cash out on this opportunity.
I was correct. ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY DOLLARS. Or, you know, you can gamble your life savings away on Wishing Wharf RNG bundles to try and get it.
Let that sink in. ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY DOLLARS FOR A SINGLE TIER VIII PREMIUM SHIP.
That is literally the price of TWO brand-new, top-tier, masterpiece AAA video games. Think Elden Ring plus Cyberpunk 2077 combined for the price of one digital battleship that has less health than the tech tree version and doesn't even get Hydro!
It’s an absolute slap in the face to the players, especially the history enthusiasts who just want to play a legendary ship in its actual historical 1941 sortie configuration. WG knows exactly what they are doing. They know the Bismarck name prints money, so they artificially inflated the price tag because they know the whales will drop the cash anyway. They are actively penalizing the fans for loving the history.
Vote with your wallets, people. Do not give them a single cent for this event. I love the historical aspect of this game, but this level of unadulterated greed makes me want to uninstall.
