Ideas to keep my book going

I've been working on my book for a couple of months, mainly developing characters and the concepts I want to include in the story itself, but as every time I get a concept or an idea, it's so hard for me to plot it and make it make sense, so I'd really appreciate any ideas on how I can keep my idea going, or if any concept would fit in my original idea.

Basically there's this world in which there was a huge war and therefore humanity got divided into four kingdoms, each one representing an element (water, earth...). My original idea revolved around those elements being all part of the same god (I'd like to keep it just one god), so when humanity decided to create said kingdoms they separated the object that keeps the god connected with the world. I'd appreciate ideas for the object, I've thought about a crystal ball or a huge sculpture in which one kingdom takes care of the head, the other has the arms...

My main characters are the royal families from the kingdoms. My problem lies in the fact that I don't know how to keep the story going when different deaths or meteorological phenomena start happening. Like, how can they fix a god dying? Especially because I don't like humanizing gods, I find difficult that humans could interfere in that. I thought about the God being able to "transfer" parts of its life to different people, so four chosen people would have each an element power, meaning all of them would have the same essence after all. But, what when that happens? Should they fusion in that one god? Could they take control and try to destroy the sculpture of said god?

So in summary, I struggle with what could happen after they realize the god that keeps them all alive is dying. I've thought about including magical creatures such as dragons or a phoenix, even a magic system, but if I include it I'd want it to be a bit more selective with the people that actually have powers. I hope I explained myself well enough, given that I wanted to keep it short and English isn't my first language. Any ideas are welcomed, thank you in advance!

Altar having a bad vibe

First of all, I'm a baby witch, so I have nearly no idea of most things in this area. I found out about altars and thought the idea was great, so I decided to make my own. Bought a couple of candle holders and stuff, adding my own amulets and witchy things and a tiny table to put it in my bedroom between my cupboard and the door to my bathroom.

The thing is, I am a person who goes by vibes a lot, and I'm confused because even when all the objects by themselves have a good vibe, when I put it all together in that place it just wouldn't work. It visually looks gorgeous, but it doesn't make me want to pray or cast anything near it.

I smoke cleansed a couple of times, and it still wouldn't work. I'm a little bit worried because I have little spaces in my house to set it and the furniture itself was pretty expensive, I worry that it may be the actual corner or the table. So, I wonder, is there any way I can fix that vibe? What can be the reasoning for this?

I'm also kinda scared because I set it up yesterday and my brother just told me this morning that last night he saw kind of like faces near that, and I'm frightened I might've brought an entity (I still haven't used the altar so it confuses me). I cleansed that with incense real good though. Any advice is welcome. Thank you in advance!

Any ideas on why a god could die and how to avoid it?

So I want to write a fantasy book in which the main plot is that God starts dying and the main characters need to realize and avoid it. There would be just one God in my story, and it wouldn't be human. I want it to be a spiritual and divine kind of entity which instead of creating the world would be connected with the planet it created. That would mean that if it were to die the world itself would start falling apart.

The story is supposed to start with the weird unexplicable things that happen (natural disasters, uncommon deaths...) and once they realize that their God it's what it's causing it they would try to fix it.

The main characters would be the royal families from the four kingdoms. Each kingdom it's supposed to represent an element (water, earth, fire and air) and it would be shown through topography, climate and that stuff.

The kingdoms were separated due to a big war, so I'd want the forced separation of the kingdoms to be related with killing the God, but I don't know how. I thought about a stone or symbolic object that was divided by four and each kingdom took a piece then protected it however they wanted. Following that idea there should be a rule that explained why God didn't die before when the "stone" was torn into pieces. Then I would need a reason for the issue to start happening. I thought of someone stealing the object but I'm not really sure. I'm also not sure if I want to implement anymore magic powers and if so which ones. Any ideas? And if so, how could the royal families stop the situation? Thank you in advance

should I read the second mistborn book?

There are spoilers from the first book. Please no spoilers from the second and third!

So I read the first one I was completely in love. It was my first ever Branderson book and I fell in love with his storytelling and worldbuilding. The problem for me is that apart from the writing what kept me reading was Kelsier. He was the kind of character that I love in a book or series in general. So finishing the first book was kind of surprising for me (I still think the end it's great and everything was as it should).

I still have hope that I will enjoy the rest of the trilogy, and I've seen a lot of people saying it just get better. My other problem is that I don't like Vin at all. I think it's really well written as a character, but I dislike her personality and way of acting. In the first book it didn't bother me that much (except that I was always hoping for Kelsier to show up), but now I'm not sure if I can deal with a book solely with her as a main character. Also, I started the first book, and the way she acted with Elend (she kind of said that she didn't love as Kelsier as she loved him and stuff like that) was kind of annoying to me. I don't get really well with romance in general, but certain behaviors towards a dead Kelsier were even worse.

I'd just want to know if it's worth it to keep reading (I'm specially excited for the end and the third one following what people said) or if the way she acts it's purposeful. I'd love to like the rest of the trilogy, but I'm afraid I loved the first one so much that the rest will feel like a loss of time. I also hope deep down that Vin changes or doesn't appear that much, but I'm conscious that those are just personal dreams.

Thank you in advance!
