Taking over Family Business or working in a 10K People Bank In the IT?

Hi guys, first of all sorry for my Low lvl English Skills.

Right now I'm standing in front of a huge life decision.

My Father has a small Döner Kebab Imbiss Berlin but with kinda huge numbers. We had the imbiss since 2005 or so. So it's pretty doo established and earns us from 5K€ up to 15K€ a Month depending on the time in the year. He wants to retire and asked me if would like to take over. I worked there since I was 16 years old, but usually in parttime. So I need to learn a little bit more, the work is pretty demanding if some of your workers quits you have to work for them and if 2 quit well than your basically ducked.

On the other Hand Im working as an Application Manager in a Bank earning 4-5K a Month. It's a pretty save job but you know there are almost no possibilities to earn more and as a German I know that there will be no real retirement for me, so I would be broke with 65+.

The thing is, I always wanted to work in the IT environment and I hated working with food and customers. I can bet you there will atleast one Asshole who's going to pee this month on the Back Wall of our imbiss. I studied in a pretty bad condition and definitely earned my place in the company throwing everything away kinda breaks my heart. But I can also see how much effort my parents did put into the imbiss and I dont want to throw it away because I dont "feel" like it right now. Also I would only work there for like 20 years and "retire" early because I earned enough. Otherwise I would have to work for like 30-40 years to get retired and I would life quite poorly after being retired.

What's you view on this? I'm seriously not sure what to do right now, maybe getting some advices from strangers could help me making a better decision.
