Let's update Folio Society on our latest wish list!

I love FS, but if we don't give them some ideas I worry we may end up with another Dickens set in 2027. What would be an instant buy for you?

Updated Versions:

- Christine Donougher Les Miserables: they haven't done a SE since 1976. This is easily my top suggestion.

- Borges Labyrinths or Collected Fictions: previous edition has some controversial design choices and is really rare.

Brand New:

- Any Gene Wolfe but especially the Book of the Long Sun or Peace.

- Hyperion: frequently requested, always ignored.

- Dead Souls: because there is more to Russian literature than Anna Karenina.

Infinite Jest (wait for it)...with the endnotes integrated into the text!

- Devil in the White City

- Musashi

- James

- Dungeon Crawler Carl (just kidding...unless they are into it)

Curious to hear your ideas. And when your favorite book is announced next year, you can take full credit!

(64/100) I've never read this much in my life.

Not sure what got into me this year but I've been reading as much as I possibly can. I feel much better after unintentionally giving up TV around the holidays. Science fiction and fantasy got me back into reading, but I'm becoming more interested in historic and classic novels and have a lot more on my list. Upcoming reads include:

- Tawny Man Trilogy

- More Philip K Dick. I've read 5 of his books and he's become my favorite classic sci fi author.

- Classics from Dickens and Tolstoy

- Book of the Long Sun

- East of Eden

- Windup Bird Chronicle

- 100 Years of Solitude

Questions and discussions welcome!

Update This was fun, and I appreciate all the discussion and recommendations! It's cool to see so many people who are passionate about reading, and I'm excited to keep finding books and authors I enjoy.

I'm probably going to take a break from responses. While I've enjoyed reading everyone's opinions, I probably don't need to respond to any more "why don't you love my favorite book" posts. Let's all just keep reading what we love! Thanks all!

Another Update I just finished The Heart of the Nagha and I think it snuck into the B Tier. Just barely. It won't be for everyone though. I didn't like how the book reduces most of the Nagha women to be one dimensional and sex/baby crazed, but it felt like modern day mythology and there were plenty of funny parts as the story progressed.
