When Jennifer Fialko was 24 she was diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease. She was weakened by 18 months of chemo, but was devoted to becoming healthy again and recovered at 29. Beating cancer made her confident. Her brother said, "She was convinced she was now going to live to 120. And we believed her."

Susan Murray was a beautiful soul. Before taking the job at Marsh & McLennan she was a school teacher and touched the hearts of many students and left a lasting impact. Susan was very thoughtful & kind and was a woman of deep faith. Her smile & professionalism will always be remembered. She was 54.

Gayle Greene was a very outgoing, extroverted, and gregarious woman who loved to travel. Gayle & her best friend/roommate were leaving for a trip to Europe on 9/14. Even though Gayle had a bad cold she insisted on working on 9/11 so she could get caught up with work before they left. Gayle was 51.

Rosa Gonzalez's 12-year old daughter was her world. After 1WTC was hit she called her sister for the last time & said, ''I love you. Promise to me that you are going to take care of my daughter.'' Rosa's sister reassured her, then the call was cut off. 10-15 minutes later 1WTC collapsed. She was 32.

Alan Feinberg, A firefighter, died trying to help others get out alive. His daughter said, "I think of my dad every day. At my home in the New Jersey suburbs, there’s a constant reminder, with all of the pictures and the memories of things we used to do. He is everywhere. His presence is missed."

31-year old Allison Horstmann Jones was very athletic and had mountain-biked 30 miles just prior to her death. On 9/11 she spoke to her parents from her 104th floor office in 2WTC. The last thing she said was, "'I'm going to get out of here." In April 2003 her femur bone was found by investigators.

Sheldon Kanter was proud to have survived the 1993 WTC bombing. He even wore a T-shirt saying, "I survived terror at the towers.” Matter of fact he wore the T-shirt on 9/10. He loved his family, sports, and his work family. Sheldon was proud of working at the Towers & would brag about it. He was 53.

James Straine Jr. & his son Finn were like bestfriends. When he came home from work, he would scoop Finn in his arms and go fishing. On 9/11 James called his wife around 8:05 checking on her since it was Finn's 1st day of Nursery School. James's youngest son was only 6-days old when he was killed.

Danielle Kousoulis was a fun loving & kind person who cared about the feelings of others. On 9/11 Danielle made her last phone call to her boyfriend just moments before 1WTC collapsed. Her sister said, "When Danielle died on Sept. 11, a piece of me died, too." Danielle would have turned 30 on 9/26.

On 9/11 Andrew Alameno said goodbye to his wife & two children and headed to work on the 105th floor of 1WTC. His wife had no idea it would be the last time she would see her husband. His hobbies were his two children and golf. She said, "He was the most wonderful father and loved by everyone."

Franco Lalama believed in putting others above himself. On 9/11 he began evacuating everyone out of the Engineering Office. He quickly followed behind, but turned back to make sure no one was left behind. He told his coworkers, “Go ahead. I’ll follow.” Unfortunately, he didn't make it out in time.

On 9/11 Calvin Gooding's wife kissed him as he headed off to work for the last time. After he left, she fell asleep in her recliner until the phone rang and was notified about the attacks. His wife said, "I was watching TV, and I kept counting down the squares to get to his floor, and there it was."

49 y/o Angela Kyte never got a chance to see her son get married or meet her grandkids. Her sister said, "I miss my sister. I miss having her nearby. Her loss has brought home the fact that we never know when our last day is. She got up & went to work, certainly not knowing she wouldn’t come home."

Darren Bohan's girlfriend said, "He didn't like being so unnaturally high up, in a place where something terrible happened before." He didn't like working 102 stories off the ground, but on 9/11 his bravery led him to remain at his 102nd floor office to assist with evacuation efforts. Darren was 34.
