Gnarly Cloud Structure

Thanks to Tropical Storm Rachel, we’re seeing some active unsettled weather here in Arizona today and more tomorrow as well. We had a Dust Storm Warning ahead of an outflow boundary that moved into Tempe Arizona earlier this afternoon. This gnarly shelf cloud was the leading edge of that said boundary. Unfortunately I’m at work, but grateful to be able to capture it.

"Peaceful Evening Stroll" Tempe, Arizona Sunset (2014)

I was going through some older photos this morning from when we lived in Tempe, Arizona. And I came across this sunset photo I took at Tempe Town Lake (Salt River).

I was teaching myself about photography that day and had just purchased a basic DSLR a few days prior. Well, this was one of my first photos taken with that camera.

Now, Arizona skies are known for their colorful sunrises/sunsets and this one was no exception! As a matter of fact, I actually toned the color down on this shot.

Sunset, Storm & Music

I got to enjoy three of my favorite things this past Wednesday while at a concert here in Phoenix, Arizona! A beautiful sunset, good music and an isolated storm in the distance! 🤘🏼

Quotes on a Service

I work next to an auto center in Tempe, AZ where they have a great rating for working on peoples cars! With that said, I drive a 10th Gen 2020 Civic Sport 2.0L MT and live in Chandler, AZ. I called them to get a quote on spark plugs replacement…and along with spark plugs replacement and the replacement of the rubber boots, they quoted me over $600.

Now I haven’t called any other places so I came here first to see if anybody knew if that was a little excessive as far as cost and if you all had any places you would highly recommend that may actually charge a bit less. If that’s the going rate then I guess I will pay it. Google said that was high compared to the national average.

My car has 73k miles and this would be the first replacement for the spark plugs
