What do you check first when a listing gets traffic but doesn't convert?

I've noticed an interesting pattern with marketplace listings: sometimes the problem isn't a lack of traffic. it's what happens after someone lands on the product page.

For example, a listing can have:

• Relevant keywords but weak search intent alignment

• A title that doesn't clearly communicate the product's value

• Bullet points that describe features without answering buyer questions

• Good product images but weak sales messaging

• Traffic from PPC while organic visibility remains weak

• A competitive product but unclear positioning

• Plenty of visitors but a poor conversion rate

It makes me wonder how other sellers approach this.

If you have experience selling on Amazon, Etsy, Shopify, or another marketplace:

What's the first thing you investigate when a product gets visitors but isn't converting?

Do you start with the keywords, images, pricing, reviews, product copy, analytics, competitors, or something else?

I'm interested in hearing how different sellers diagnose the problem rather than simply increasing ad spend.
