Facial Recognition: Innocent customer kicked out of Dulwich Sainsbury

Another innocent customer ejected out of Sainsbury in Dulwich. The technology was installed only last week.

Apparently they have suspended the technology while investigating the matter.

I wonder how long this technology is going to last considering wearing glasses with infrared blocking capability can defeat the technology.

Battery replacement program

I am having difficulty with Google Pixel support where they are not helpful at all.

I selected the option to take cash only to find out Google's partner Payoneer insist on an up to date government issued photo ID. My UK passport expired in 2003. I do not have other photo ID.

Google Pixel support has said there is nothing they can do. If so then my only option is to raise a complaint with a view to take it through to the UK small claims court.

Google may point to their terms and conditions but they gave no information about their partner. Therefore I do not believe their t&c are binding through the lack of upfront information. I can't believe a big company like Google want to operate a scam policy. After all, they stand to benefit if no one wants to claim from the battery replacement program.

I believe I have a case under the consumer rights act 2015 where the act covers my device for up to 6 years.

Has anyone had any success in circumventing Google Pixel support?
