Math 201 usefulness/applicability

I mentioned that I wasn’t the strongest at writing math proofs during advising and I was recommended this 1 credit course.

Can anyone attest to its applicability to higher level (400-500) math courses specifically relating to financial math (the program i’m in).

For reference I’ve written proofs in linear algebra at a CC but those seemed extremely elementary

Also, I’m taking Math 217 in the winter and saw that they’re meant to be taken concurrently, is that really necessary? is it ill-advised to take them separately?

Thanks in advance.

Financial Math and Risk Management Chances

UofM math student and this is the title of my soon-to-be declared major.

Wondering about how it may or may not translate to QR/QT

Theme Community Waitlist

Hello all,

I was tragically waitlisted from TYE and was wondering what the housing process would look like for me now.

It says my application is moved to “self-select” but I have no clue what that means.

Just a little worried as pretty much everyone has gotten a contract and I have absolutely nothing.

Also, does anyone know the chances roughly of getting off waitlisted? I’m not too optimistic but I’d still love to participate.

Thanks in advance!

Dorm Affordability Regarding Roommates

Does anyone have any figure on the difference in cost between single, double, triple, etc rooms in roughly the same buildings?

I.e. what’s the cost difference between a single and double in North Quad?

Asking to see if it’s worth getting a roommate financially- I’ve already weighed the social aspect.

Thanks in advance.
