How do you defend patriarchy here?
Ajja mero mamu ko mom ko saradha tithi thiyo, so I asked my mom kina na gareko sarada, and she said that because her dad is alive so she can't do it, you can only perform the rituals for women when her husband is also dead, daaaaaaam, I was speechless like why after death also you need your husband to die and only perform the ritual, before someone here start a debate about feminism, this isn't about feminism or anything this is simply oppression, why make women so dependent on man? I am so convinced about the deep-rooted patriarchy here, I mean I knew it was always here but then today I kinda felt the deep-rooted patriarchy even for a dead one.
PS: I am not asking for right to perform sarada, I am just highlighting why did the religion or vedas or whatever was made so unequally?
That's because it was man made, it was made to oppress women and each time this has happened with any religion!
