Theft

I work at a High theft store. I’m the Dairy Lead. Every morning when I come in I find empty boxes or open boxes where people steal the product and leave the case. Usually it’s medicine but I’ve found everything from ice cream to honey buns. They tell us not to stop shoplifters and if we do we can get fired if there’s an altercation. Personally, I don’t get paid enough to care. The other day I had a talk with My SD and he told me that corporate thinks most of the theft is internal and done by employees. It’s a smack in the face to the honest hardworking employees who show up everyday to say that. While I don’t disagree that they’re probably is employee theft, at my store 80% of the shoppers are low income, black or brown, and come in wreaking like weed. There are homeless people who sleep in the side of the building. For a company so worried about profits, maybe they should deal with the amount of money that walks out the door every damn day. I guess that would just make too much sense though.
