Help me convince my husband that cry it out sucks

My son is 5 months old and we have been cosleeping for about a month now. I do all of the night wakings and it got to be too much getting him to sleep, putting him in the crib, him waking up 20 min later and repeating all night then going to work (I’m a 2nd grade teacher) so I decided to give cosleeping a try and I LOVE it. I love seeing his little face before I go to sleep and when I wake up especially since I work full time and feel like I miss a lot of his life.

My husband has been sleeping on the couch because he does not feel comfortable bed sharing which I understand. I have offered to buy another mattress and put it in the nursery and sleep in there with the baby while my husband sleeps in our bed. To be honest I think he should ✨stfu✨ and be thankful that I do and have always done every night and I also do everything during the day. He works and comes home. I work and I work.

He is wanting to do cry it out and get our baby back in his own room so he and I can sleep in the same bed again. He misses connecting with me and intimacy which has been hard to achieve since baby will not sleep in that crib ever. Daytime naps usually happen in my arms.

He says it’s only two days of crying and then it’s over and it doesn’t do any harm, but my mom heart cannot take letting him cry like that. I prefer to soothe him when he cries and am not big on letting him cry himself to sleep.

Anybody have any good articles of information regarding the negatives of cry it out? Or am I wrong here and should sleep train?

Update: Thank you all for the support and validation! I am going to continue cosleeping with my son until he shows signs of no longer needing me to sleep soundly. My husband has accepted the fact that I will not allow cry it out and in a few months we will revisit the possibility of transitioning him back to the crib; but I will only do it when I feel baby is ready. As far as the marriage goes, idk but my baby will always come first!
