Bike keeps (assumedly) overheating and turning off while riding
Every time I ride in anything above 80 degree weather my bike will run for awhile but after about 30min it’ll slowly start to not be able to hit higher rpm’s. It’s like it hits a wall and it just degrades until it just shuts off. It’ll start back up just fine but turns back off once it gets hot again. If I let it sit and cool down it’ll run fine until it overheats again. I’ve tried replacing coolant and making sure there’s no air in the lines. I’ve also replaced the crank position sensor which did help a bit because it would just not start back up at all. I run mobil 1 for oil and always keep it topped up. I’m not sure what else to do. It’s a 2011 ninja 650 with 16k miles. Also seems to run fine at night and is better if not in direct sunlight when it’s hot.
