Haven’t seen this discussed here yet — but with the introduction of AI voice manipulation, and the obsession with Max that other characters have…. has anyone considered the fact that the call at the start of the series (telling the mistress to finish the job and kill herself) was Naveah or someone else using AI to be Max?
No I don’t think Max and Anna had an affair or that Max has voodoo magic. I think the following comes true:
- Neveah is Max’s bastard kid who’s helping him unravel the family
- Anna buried evidence to help someone, maybe her father which led to the strained relationship
- although it would really be way too narrative driven — Max may have been actually innocent but convinced the mistress to confess and kill herself as the only way for him to be “free” and back with her
- Juliette Lewis’s character is his stepmother
I’m watching Wild Things on Netflix before it leaves, and can’t help but think it’s a solid story to remake (with Sweeney as the lead). What are other movies that seem like they’re ready to be remade given the right cast member? Other ones that aren’t remakes but sequels:
