Does California have some form of double sales tax in may?
I have relatives in California who own a restaurant and for years have been adamant they pay double sales tax in the month of may. I have had zero luck in finding any actual sources on what this is and I don’t know if they’re misunderstanding the taxes they do pay or what? I genuinely want to know what they’re saying this is because I’m so confused over it

Update: her owners have taken her home!!
I found this sweetheart on Omni and sky ranch. She ran up to my car trying to get in and barking and whining. She’s about the size of a lab and has reddish brown spots. Her collar is faded floral print but has no tag. Please message if she’s yours
