What Windows setting do you change immediately after installing it?

Every time Windows gets reinstalled, there’s always a bunch of settings that feel annoying or unnecessary, but not sure which ones are actually worth changing right away. Stuff

Is 1TB enough if I mostly buy physical games?

Trying to decide if I should get the regular storage model or pay extra for more storage. I know physical discs mean I don’t need to download the whole game from the disc sometimes, but I’m guessing most games still install a lot of data onto the SSD anyway. I’ll probably have a few big games installed at once, plus updates, screenshots, and maybe some PS Plus games. How much usable space does the PS5 actually give you after system files? Does 1TB fill up really fast even with physical games, or should it be fine for a casual player?

Is buying a high-end CPU for a budget GPU a bad idea?

Trying to build a gaming PC without going too crazy on the budget, but I’m confused where the money should go. If I get a really good CPU and pair it with a cheaper GPU for now, would that be dumb since the GPU is gonna be the main limit in games anyway? The idea was to upgrade the GPU later when I have more money, instead of replacing half the system. Would a mid-range CPU make more sense and put the extra money into the GPU now? Also any issues with bottlenecking or wasting CPU performance?

Is a 1440p monitor the sweet spot for most people?

Looking at getting a new monitor and kinda stuck between 1080p, 1440p, and 4K. 1440p seems like the middle ground, but not sure if the extra cost is really worth it over 1080p.

Mostly gonna use it for gaming, browsing, YouTube, and some normal everyday stuff. Not doing anything crazy like professional editing. My GPU should handle 1440p pretty well, but I also dont wanna buy a monitor and then realize I should've just gone 4K.

For gaming, does 1440p actually look noticeably better than 1080p at around 27 inches? Also wondering if 144Hz or 165Hz at 1440p is a better choice than going 4K with a lower refresh rate.

I keep seeing people call 1440p the perfect balance between image quality, performance, and price, but maybe thats only true for certain setups?

Would you guys say 1440p is the safest choice for the average PC gamer right now? Or should I just stick with 1080p to save money, or go 4K if the budget allows?

My DualSense has started drifting. Is there anything I can do before replacing it?

My DualSense has started drifting and it’s getting pretty annoying, especially in games where the camera keeps moving by itself. Is there anything I can try before just buying a new controller? I’ve seen people mention cleaning the analog stick, resetting the controller, or using compressed air, but not sure what actually works and what’s just gonna make things worse lol. The drift isn’t crazy bad yet, but it’s definitely noticeable and seems to be happening more often now. Has anyone managed to fix their DualSense drift without replacing the whole controller? Any easy stuff worth trying first? Would rather save the money if there’s a simple fix that actually lasts.

Are curved monitors actually useful?

Been looking at monitors and keep seeing curved ones everywhere, but not really sure what the actual benefit is. Is the curve something you genuinely notice after using it for a while, or is it mostly just a looks thing? Thinking about getting one for gaming and general PC use, maybe around 27 or 32 inches.

Does a curved screen actually make games feel more immersive, or is the difference pretty minor? Also wondering if it helps with eye strain or makes it easier to see stuff around the edges, especially on wider monitors. I see people recommending curved ultrawides a lot, but then other people say flat is better for basically everything.

Are there any downsides I should know about? Like weird viewing angles, reflections, cleaning, or issues when doing normal stuff like browsing, watching videos, or working with documents? And does the curve make any difference at all on smaller 24–27 inch monitors, or is it only really worth considering once you get into ultrawide sizes?

Trying to decide between a flat and curved monitor and don’t wanna pay extra for a feature that barely does anything. What do you guys actually prefer after using both?
