Feature Request] "Turf-Safe" Mode (Random Bounce) & Configurable Multi-Point Turns
Hi Mammotion Team,
I am a huge fan of my Luba, but I'm facing a critical issue that many users share: the AWD skid-steering is tearing up my lawn during turns, especially when the soil is soft or the turf is not yet fully dense.
I would like to urgently request two simple but game-changing software features for users with more delicate terrain:
1. Optional "Random Bounce" Mode (Turf-Safe Mode) Please add an option to disable the grid-pattern mowing and allow the robot to bounce randomly off the virtual boundaries (like traditional robot mowers). The rigid grid perimeter turns always happen in the exact same spots, which completely destroys the grass there. A random mode would distribute the turning stress across the entire boundary and give the soil time to recover.
2. Configurable Multi-Point Turns (e.g., 5-point or 6-point turns) The current multi-point turn setting is still too aggressive for soft soil. Please add a slider to configure the number of points in a turn (up to 5 or 6 points). Taking wider, more subtle turns with smaller steering angles would save the turf from being ripped up by the wheels.
These are relatively simple software additions that do not require hardware changes, but they would make Luba much more subtle and versatile for difficult, real-world lawns. Thank you for listening to the community!
