What’s the biggest change you’ve noticed since starting therapy?

It can be positive or negative.

Mine is that I feel anger more than sadness these days when thinking about people who hurt me. It’s like therapy taught me that I actually didn’t deserve that and now I’m making up for years of not being angry.

What is one thing you’d like to know about your therapist?

If somehow we could put aside ethics for like 2 minutes and you could learn anything (I mean absolutely anything, not something you’d have to necessarily ask) about your therapist, what would you want to know? Something about them as a person? Something about their work as a therapist?

I’d want to know about her hobbies and interests which is pretty basic, but my therapist doesn’t self disclose much so I have a lot of questions.

I’m secretly hoping for some unhinged responses here.

What is your least favourite thing about therapy?

For me it’s the knowledge that no matter what happens my therapist will not be in my life for the rest of my life and I will never know her properly.

What is your favourite thing about your therapist?

I’ll go first. Mine is that my therapist seems genuinely really intelligent and has more knowledge around psychotherapy than all of my previous therapists put together. She also notices tiny things that other therapists missed.
