Sooooo I knitted my wedding dress and couldn’t be happier

(I did not steam the dress before taking the pictures so please don’t mind it, but on d-day it was perfect)

So like the title says, I made my wedding dress and it was exactly what I hoped for!
Long story short, I already had sewn up a dress, but changed my mind 50 days before my wedding day and ordered 15 balls of Knitting for Olive Pure Silk unbleached (I ended up only needing 11-ish). I finished it the morning of my wedding (AuDHD here, I guess I thrive under pressure 😂). It felt incredible to wear, and the drape was oht of this world. Also, it might sound silly but the Pure Silk has a distinct smell after blocking that is so nice! I could compare it to rice smell… Anyway that’s my new favourite summer yarn. I was afraid I wouldn’t like it that much after seeing comments about it, but this yarn felt so buttery and nice 😍 I also did not have any problem with it splitting (I used 3mm metal chiagoo; the yarn was gliding nicely on them).

I was heavily inspired by Oline from the Norwegian Knitter on youtube, so if this is your kind of project I strongly recommend you go check her channel.

Basically, I started with the Camisole no. 9 from My Favourite Things Knitwear and freehanded from the underarm. I then added the Hantsuki cape, directly sewn on the collar.

I’m linking my Ravelry project page for those interested in the specifics ;)
