Future tips for broadcast spreader and fertilizer

Hey all, sorry for multiple posts but I posted a couple days ago about steps for a new sod lawn and went to apply the starter fertilizer today as suggested. I utilized the monthly N planner from lawn answers and the Scott’s starter fert (green bag). It said to spread 3.7lbs for my 2,000 sqft front area and 0.65lbs for the curb strip.
I measured everything out and used an echo RB-60 spreader at the lowest setting. I burned through almost all the 3.7lbs of fert on just the perimeter pass alone. I’m not sure what went wrong. It’s a brand new spreader and I made sure the holes were truly at the smallest setting.
Is it due to the size of the granules ? Should I have used a hand spreader instead?
I’m hoping I didn’t just burn the new lawn, I’m watering it all in now since it’s sunny out.

4 weeks since seeding, any tips or things I can do to improve?

Zone 7b, South Jersey, close to Philly.

First two pics are from 6/11, 3rd/4th are from 5/26.
Posted initially on lawn care regarding germination in this front slope area, so far it has certainly improved.

I seeded with blue resilience from Twin city 4 weeks ago after I had new landscaping and the area leveled, topsoil/compost brought in. I know spring seeding is not recommended but it was an ugly dirt plot. Planning to overseed in the fall as well. Anyway, I Put down Scott’s turf builder triple action for the mesotrione and starter fert immediately after seeding. Went from watering 3-4x to now 1-2x a day for about 30min each. Grass blades are about 1-1.5in.
Was wondering if I should put down another round of the starter fertilizer to help with summer weeds or should I wait until the first couple of mows, maybe around 6 week mark? I do notice that some crabgrass and weeds are starting up too, when is it safe that I could put down some quinclorac?
Now that it is getting hotter I am also worried about decreasing watering frequency by much more since some areas are still not fully germinated.

Is this drip line installed okay for these trees?

I had my irrigation system checked and made some repairs/converted a zone to a drip line for this bed. I will eventually get more mulch to cover the lines but wasn’t sure if they should be rerouted better to specifically cover these two trees; newly planted Japanese maple (1st/2ndpic) and a magnolia (3rd pic).
4th pic is the general orientation of the drip line.
I installed a new Rachio controller as well and have this line run 3 times a week for 50-75min based on weather.
Any advice appreciated!

Edit: appreciate all the advice so far and can now see that this is a shit job. I will call the company to see what can be changed.
Regarding the remainder of the whole bed, are all the shrubs and bushes okay or they should also be redone?
