Printer ignoring "High-Quality" settings (stuck in Draft mode) + A summary of my hardware nightmare so far. Has anyone found a fix?

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share a bizarre software/firmware issue I’m currently facing, in case anyone else has run into this and found a workaround. I am already in contact with Eufy support and have a replacement unit on the way due to severe hardware defects, but I’m trying to keep this current machine limping along for pending work orders.

The Current Issue: Software Desync / Stuck in "Standard/Draft" Quality

After leaving the printer idle for just one day, it has completely stopped printing in High-Quality mode. Even when I explicitly select "High-Quality" in the software, the printer ignores it and outputs what looks like a Draft/Standard print.

Here are the symptoms:

-Drastic Print Time Drop: A standard White > CMYK print that usually takes 7-10 minutes is now finishing in about 2.5 minutes.

-Terrible Quality: The prints have severe CMYK banding.

-Weird Finish: The white layer is putting down a strange textured pattern and curing with an unwanted glossy finish instead of the usual semi-matte.

What I’ve tried (with zero success):

-Multiple Deep and Medium cleans.

-Physical cleaning of the station.

-Complete uninstall/reinstall of the PC and Android apps (including scrubbing hidden Windows folders).

-Full factory hard reset of the printer itself.

The Weird Workaround I Found:

If I print CMYK without white directly onto a white substrate, the high quality gets activated and the printing times are the usuals for a HQ printjob.

Even weirder: if I print using the "Raised Color" setting (without texture) at the minimum thickness (0.3mm), the printer actually obeys the high-quality command. The white prints normally without the weird gloss, and the CMYK has zero banding. It seems the standard flat printing profile is just completely bugged or locked.

My Previous Hardware Nightmare (Context)

Just to give some context on why I'm getting a replacement, my unit has been a disaster since day 2:

-Extreme White Ink Dripping: Massive, random flooding of white ink that drips all over the prints and the inside of the machine.

-3D Relief Crashes: The printhead repeatedly crashed into substrates during high-volume 3D prints, ruining materials and risking permanent head damage.

I’m exhausted by having a new critical problem every week. Has anyone else experienced this software bug where the printer ignores the quality settings? Any hidden fixes I haven't tried?

Thanks!
