Hi everyone,
I recently bought a 5-acre property in Colorado and I’m looking for my first tractor. My main uses will be mowing, snow removal, moving mulch/gravel, maintaining a small backyard garden, and general property maintenance. I don’t plan on doing any commercial work or heavy farming.
I found a 2021 Kubota BX1880 with 240 hours for $12,000. It comes with:
LA344 front loader
60” mid-mount mower
Grass catcher
Mulching kit
Front snow plow
Assuming it’s in good mechanical condition, does this seem like a good deal? Is the BX1880 enough tractor for a 5-acre property in Colorado?
I’d appreciate any advice, especially from anyone who owns a BX1880 or maintains a similar-sized property.
