Save file is corrupted :(

Hi guys, I try to resume my first build that was very successful, just to check some stuff and it doesn't load anymore the saving files! It says that is corrupt.

Why this happening?

Is because of the new patches? The file are one month and half old

I was keeping that build on the side because of features main update.

I complete the whole map and the build (1h axe dodge/block) was insanely good, super tank.

There is any way to how to fix it?

Dual Wielding, any good?

https://preview.redd.it/ba2c0aqjgfeh1.png?width=605&format=png&auto=webp&s=77d4784948402df8877cc827101cecdcb8fd299a

Hi!

I was thinking about my next build and I would like to try a dual wielding dodge one.

However, I have a few questions:

  1. Is this build strong enough to handle T5 dungeons?

  2. Why does everyone use a dagger in their off-hand?

  3. Is dual-wielding swords a bad choice? (I like swords)

  4. I’d like to avoid using a dagger in the off-hand because I really don't like them; so, how do dual maces or dual axes perform?

  5. Does the off-hand weapon deal less damage than the main-hand weapon?

thanks

Different gear for Different dungeons

Hello guys, at the moment I'm running a 2h mace build Light armor (dodge) and is finally working after all your advices (thank you). I successfully managed to clear all T5 dungeons without major issues.

The thing is that visually I like the heavy armor so I wanted to make again a 2h mace build with heavy armor and obviously the main issue will be the energy.

But what I wanted ask you is something regarding the Catacombs and Crypts enemies:

I'm planning to have a full gear heavy armor for the human enemies and have Control Resistance as enchantment on all armor pieces.

So I was thinking to have, for Crypt and Catacombs, Unholy resistance on all armor pieces so I'll buy a duplicate of my gear with those resistance instead.

Are the armored skeletons with melee weapons and bloodsucker deliver just Unholy damage? Or who using melee weapons deliver physical damage? Or a mix of both?

This to understand if my plan will works or not 😀

Thanks

Help to choose a 2h mace

Can someone advise me about those two mace?

I'm currently using the Knight L. but I was thinking to swap for the Noble L.

I'll will loose some danze and stun chance but I'll bring my critical efficiency at 75% and if I enchant it with another 8% I'll reach 83% of critical efficiency.

Question: with buff I usually have around 45% of crit chance so I wanted to understand what exactly the crit efficiency dose? Also, the difference between 60% and 83% is a lot or negligible?

Otherwise will be enough 15% of crit eff of the Noble L. and as enchant I can add some missing 5% of danze (or stun) from the other weapon

What do you think?

Manticora help

Hi guys, I already kill this boss with another build but I don't remember how... (that one in the pic is not me ^^)

I already failed 5 times in a row ^^

I'm 2h mace dodge build, stats are high, accu energy dodge... also my movement resistance is a 51%... I saw that is good this resistance against this boss (I don't know why)

Also is a bit frustrating because I saw video where character level 16 manage to kill it.... I'm level 29 with top T5 gear and max that I manage to brought her at 48% of life... as soon you are 1 title of distance she use the tail and even with high dodge she still hit me and can be very bad... so the only useful moment to attack is when she stand up to setup the next skill

So for sure I'm missing the mechanic here, do I need to focus on the skeleton for some reason?

What I can bring with me that us useful? Obviously I have tons of medical staff, I'm speaking about net, smoke bombs or molotov, fire is usefull?

Thanks

2H Mace Build Dodge - need advice

Hi there,

I'm trying out a 2H mace build for the first time. I've just unlocked T5 gear, and until I find some Unique items, I assume this is the best I can wear—or is it?

I had a few questions:

  1. Which of the two maces is better? (Check the screenshot) And why? Sometimes I find that knocking enemies back actually hinders me; for instance, if my remaining skills have a range of one tile, I can't finish off the target, and a ranged enemy might hit me in the meantime...

  2. In the screenshots of my skills, I've marked potential choices with question marks; which of those are right or wrong?

  3. Since I rely on dodge as my only defense (all other defensive stats are very low), is 75% dodge enough, or should I boost it further? I've already applied dodge enchantments to all my gear pieces; should I also use a dodge-related skill like "Defensive Tactic"?

  4. Should I also pick up "Battering Ram" from the Armored Combat skill tree? Charge skills seem incredibly useful to me.

  5. To be honest, I prefer the look of heavy armor on my character, but I can't figure out how to manage the energy costs... plus, I'd lose dodge chance. Is it worth it?

  6. what training should I get from Leif?

  7. I chose these rings because of the energy and energy restoration, any better choise?

  8. Any other tips based on your experiences?

By the way, the 2H mace build is really fun to play—I love it! :D

Thanks.

Archer build, I give up 😞

Hello guys, I get lots of advices in the last 10 days about the renged build and I manage to reach level 19 BUT I didn't aspect that the catacombs t4 could be so tuff... I have top equipment for my level (unlocked from the three guildmasters in Brynn)

I tried two different catacombs dungeons, one t3 and one t4. I reach in both the Mini-boss that in both case I wasn't even close to kill them

One was the Brander and the other was the Anmarrak. The Brander fallow me all long the dungeon till the exit and I managed to take just 10% of his life, Anmarrak even worse.

The point is that normal enemies in the dungeon like Girrud, Murkstalker, Impaler and expecially the Chainbound are taking ages to kill them. Even if they are alone at the end with still 30% of life they catch me because I finish the energy and kill me. Than if they are in at least two I don't have any hope.

So to advance in the dungeon is extremely slow and frustrating and boring because I need to catch them one by one.

I'm just coming from a successfully 1h axe and shield build that make me manage t5 dungeons so the difference is to great between those builds.

Did I get in the dungeon T4 too early?

How did you survive in a T3 and T4 catacombs as archer?

I'm restarting the game as 2h mace build for now but I put on side this renged build save files so I can restore anytime

Thanks

Velmir extra stat point?

Hi!

I just realized I have an extra stat point, but I don't understand where it came from... I haven't leveled up yet, and I'm 100% sure I had used all my stat points before this.

I know I'll get free stat points when I defeat the main story bosses, but I haven't encountered them yet.

I just finished my first T3 contract... so do mini-bosses give extra stat points to Valmir too???

Thanks.

Archer advice (Velmir) - new build

Hello!

After recently completing the game for the first time with a 1H axe + shield block/dodge hybrid build (which was fantastic), I’ve decided to start a new adventure as an archer.

I’m currently only level 7, so before I make any major decisions, I’d love to get your advice :)

A few questions:

  1. Which stats should I invest my points in? Could you please give me an end-game stat distribution?

  2. What stats should I look for on my gear besides "dodge" (which I assume is the most important)?

  3. Which secondary weapon (skill tree) do you recommend??? For melee, I was thinking about the spear because, with just two skill points, I get two attack skills that also knock enemies back—right? Is there anything better than that?

  4. What other skills do you suggest, aside from the obvious "ranged skill tree" and secondary weapon? Is there anything else important or useful I should have?

  5. What is your personal combat technique when using the bow?

Thanks :D

Axe advice to complete the build

Hello guys! I finally found the J shield after nearly 20 run in a T5 fort and was last piece for my build 😀

Now, I have dilemma between those two axes: I was using the Exquisite Tabar till yesterday when I found the Ancestral Hatchet. With the HA I'm getting closer to my build target because of the block chance and block recovery, on the other hand the ET have more body bart damage, bleed chance that match with my skills and also what about 24% stagger chance? I believe is very good stats too no?

Can someone help me to choose the best between those two that suit my build better? And why?

Thanks

T5 advice and questions

Hi guys, I'm playing Jorgrim 1h axe and shield build. With buff I'm around 90 of block chance and 55 of dodge, energy regeneration is good, I never run out of energy, also life reg is ok.

You can see the buff that I'm using for T5 dungeons, I honestly found the catacombs pretty easy, the humans so so and the crypt quite hard. I mean I complete all of them two times each but I wanted to know if I should use different buffs?

How I can make the crypt easier? Also I never bring with me, traps, webs, potions and food for save space in the inventory so I never use it during dungeons in general, any good buffs from food or potions without end up in a bad trip?

How many far T5 dungeon there are on the map? I discovered just 3 so far. After how long I can repeat it?

How do you prepare your character before enter in a T5?

About the build, I love have a shield and I found 1h axe very satisfying expecially when enemies explode 😀 , also quite strong. I liked also because I have one mobility skill extra so it change a lot my play style and survivability.

I really wanted to use 2h sword build or 2h axe build but I found it both to static and I was I bit too squishy. Obviously both was killing enemies faster but in T5 I was dying very often 😞 maybe even because I was standing face to face with multiple enemies for too long when actually with 1h axe + shield I was last longer 😳 so I suppose to have a different approach.

Thanks

2h Axe Heavy armor Build help

Hi guys, at the moment I'm using a 1h axe + shield build, the armor pieces are mix between light medium and heavy this to reach 100 of block chance, nearly 100 of block power and with buffes also 45 of dodge.

I'm managing to clean t5 dungeons expecially that one with bandits that some of theme are quite tuff. Anyway between block and dodge I survived.

Now I was trying 2h axe and heavy build because I found it beautiful but is looks like a glass cannon: the damage is definitely higher but I'm more squishy and in t5 dungeon some strong bandit they killed me very easy :(

My block chance is low and dodge is -20. I thought that the heavy armor would protect me more but I don't see that is works.

Energy and health are 150 and 165, with high regeneration so no issues to abuse of skills.

The wiki website is down so I remember that my chest armor is the unique vagabond, then I have a unique helmet (check my profile pic) and unique 2h axe with nice stats for block, stun and knockback also arcan and sacred damage. Rest of the gear is top heavy armor. Obviously I have some defensive skill but are not enough against those enemies.

There is anything that I can do to improve it or fixed? or this build have limitations?

I would like to use it but if it doesn't work I'll keep using 1h axe and shield ^^
