What are these marks?
I had Hollywood laser hair removal done last Tuesday, and a few hours afterwards I noticed these marks appearing on my inner thighs. It’s now been several days and they’ve spread/are much more noticeable, and this is what they currently look like.
What I find particularly strange is that the marks are only on my right thigh. During the appointment, the practitioner treated my top area and right thigh first. She then turned the machine off because there was some trapped hair on the treatment head and she cleaned it. It was also a really hot day, so she let the machine cool down before turning it back on. Afterwards, she treated my upper lip and left thigh, and I don’t have any marks on my left thigh or upper lip.
I contacted the clinic and they said they checked with the laser manufacturer. They told me there’s nothing wrong with the machine and that the settings used were completely safe. The practitioner said she doesn’t understand why these marks have occurred and advised me not to have any further treatment until the area has fully healed.
The thing is, she also couldn’t tell me exactly what the marks are, which is making me quite anxious. They’re all over my inner thigh now and honestly I’m finding them incredibly upsetting to look at.
Has anyone experienced anything similar after laser hair removal? Does anyone know what these could be? Thank you in advance.
